The West Midlands Consortium is based at the highly successful Thomas Telford School in Telford and linked to 25 schools across the West Midlands. The Consortium consists of a diverse range of schools including a City Technology College, City Academy, LEA maintained, Foundation schools and an Independent College. The majority of West Midlands Consortium Schools are Specialist Schools including; Technology, Performing Arts, Business & Enterprise, Science and Sports Colleges.
The Consortium has been successfully operating School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) PGCE Courses since 1993 and has subject routes in Design & Technology, Information Communication Technology and Physical Education. Total numbers on the PGCE programme are 49. The PGCE programme is validated by Roehampton University.
The Consortium is also a Designated Recommending Body for the Graduate Teacher Programme and has 22 Secondary places each year across a wide range of subject areas including; Mathematics, English, Science, MFL, Humanities, Music and ICT.

Applicants must have a degree in a related subject area and GCSE grade C or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
